Your Body HATES Dieting. (And It’s Proven By Science)

Another bold claim.

But here comes the proof:

The American Society for Clinical Nutrition found that over 80% of dieters couldn't maintain the amount of weight they’d lost for a year.

This shocking study means that over 4 out of 5 dieters will regain every single pound after finishing their dieting, and some will gain even more than they lost.

Some people may claim a lack of discipline or dedication, but this simply isn’t the case.

I have worked with enough people and read enough research in my career to know that even some of the most motivated dieters have regained the weight they lost. 

It’s nothing to do with willpower.
So right now you’re probably wondering -

‘“Ok then Laura, if you’re actually saying that some many people regain all the weight the lose, even  the most dedicated, does that mean there’s no point trying?
Should I just avoid dieting and accept I’ll always be this weight?

Is this all my genetics?”

Nope, not at all.

What I didn’t mention that dedication and discipline (or a lack of) is really only a tiny piece of the puzzle.

The real culprit?

The diet followed to lose weight in the first place. 

So this is where we learn exactly WHY your body hates ‘dieting’.

Most diets revolve around two ideas (and both are wrong) -

  1. Massively reducing total calorie intake.
  2. Cutting out entire food groups.

Take a Low Carb diet for example - you eat fewer calories because you completely remove carbs from your diet.

A Low Fat diet will cause a ridiculous drop in calories by taking out meat, dairy, butter etc. 
A ‘juice cleanse’ diet can even go as far as removing solid food. Your calories will be incredibly (yes, dangerously) low. 

Which prompts us to the main issue…

Too low a calorie intake wreaks havoc on your metabolism.

This rate at which your body burns calories falls, you feel starving, you move around less, and your metabolism grinds to a shuddering halt.

Have you ever noticed that upon starting a diet the initial weight loss is fast, but the longer you continue, the less weight you lose, until you’re no longer losing weight?

That, is one of the main signs of a slow metabolism due to a very low calorie intake.

And perhaps the most major issue with traditional dieting.
Yes, you do need to reduce your calorie intake to lose weight.
But lower it too much, and you’re setting yourself up for weight gain and long term failure.
Another reason these strict diets don’t work is they create major cravings.

“ Yeah, but Laura. Diets are always going to be tough.

I’m supposed to struggle.

You can’t enjoy food AND lose weight.”

Totally wrong.
I hate to burst your bubble, but dieting shouldn’t cause sweet cravings.

You can feel full.

You can eat yummy foods.

You can have ‘junk’ and still lose weight.

Hell, you can even have KFC, chocolate, and visits to the pub whilst dropping pounds and toning up.

In fact, you WILL get better results, because the cravings are kept at bay.

It is in fact, these two reasons (the restriction of certain food groups, and super low calories) that make long term weight loss extremely tough.

The Shocking Truth: What Happens When You Eat Just One Bar Of Chocolate

Would you like to know what happens to your body when you eat just one small bar of chocolate?

The havoc that all the sugars, fats, and carbs create?

To lose weight, that means she needs 1600 calories every day.

(By the way, I’m not about to begin some stupid algebraic equation)

These 1600 calories needed to come mostly from healthy food.

Your typical ‘weight loss’ stuff - vegetables, lean meats, wholegrain etc.

Around 1300 calories should come from these foods, which means the rest can come from ‘ naughty’ foods. 

Every day, she would eat 300 or so calories worth of biscuits…

… or crisps.

… takeaways.

… cheese.

Or our friend - the chocolate bar.

She can even use these calories for alcohol.

One thing we did with Megan, was work out how many calories could come from junk food each week, so that if she wanted to have a night out at the weekend, or a large pizza in the week, she could do so, and still make incredible progress.

Q) I’ve noticed you are in the UK and the price is in £, can I still work with you if I’m not from the UK?

Sure.

I have worked with people from all over the world.

If you are accepted as a client, we just work out the exchange rate, no silly mark ups. 

Plus, as I check Facebook and email multiple times a day, you won’t have to wait for a response any longer than my UK clients do. 

Q) Could I get these results on my own?

Absolutely, 100%…

YES.

My methods aren’t guarded by dragons and kept in secret.

They do work incredibly well, but you could do this on your own.

The thing is though, that despite knowing this, most people will not, and they spin their wheels for years, hating their body and saying they’ll lose weight… next Monday.

But I don’t want that for you.

I would rather you had a time proven system in place, that gets you lasting results, and that gives you as much (or as little) support as you need along the way.
